Today i am grateful for..

Such tiny writing, but the message reads 'Today i am grateful for..' I made these for a friend and i in a dull moment, when i realised we need to count our blessings just a touch more. The notebooks are from Muji and are around £2, so this is a great little gift to make.

Easter Windows

Using the laminate floral design i created a few weeks earlier, we were all instructed to place the laminate around the bottom of the windows creating a very bright and springlike start to the windows. Once they were in place, streamers were made (once again using easter colours!) and assembled to create another splash of colour. I sent a few instructions around to the different shops, to show what sizes and shapes we were aiming for.

The outfits in the window were co-ordinated, so a lovely yellow dress was chosen, along with yellows or greens for the boys. It was a great project to work on, and a good opportunity to enlist everybody to help with the bunting and get stuck in!

Tilly and Friends Birthday card

I was asked to create two birthday cards using illustrations from the popular BBC children's programme Tilly and Friends. Using Illustrator and Photoshop i took the characters and placed them in a greeting card design, making sure i included small elements from the magazine which accompanies the show - complete with stars, small patterns and even music notes. The small detailing made a big difference to the design in the final product.

Examples i was given of Tilly and Friends to work with
and create a birthday card design:
