Happy Stationery Day

On the 24th April it was in fact National Stationery day, what better way to celebrate this but to attend a stationery fair! it was quite interesting and little overwhelming as there were a hell of a lot of pen salesmen but i saw the wonderful work of Silkie Lloyd, a bristol based surface pattern designer who created her company 'Rosehip' in 2005.

Stopped by the V&A afterwards and made a few sketches of all the flowers in the south asia section, definitely my favourite place to get lost.

Clare Owen

I love my blog - i just get to post lots of pretty things. These works are by Clare Owen, i saw the first image at Pick Me Up show too, it's just so delicate and perfect. Great typography too!

Lizzy Stuart

I've just found a little scrap of paper with a few very important names i wrote down at the Pick Me Up exhibition at Somerset House. One of them was Lizzy Stuart. She is an illustrator studying in London and has a wonderful way of mixing hand drawn images with colourful marks. I especially love the bear with a floral frame around it! i want one.

Jacqui Lee

These designs and invitations are so lovely. They are all designed by Jacqui Lee, a freelance illustrator based in Vancouver. I especially love the floral wedding invitations and save the dates which have been designed especially for Hello Lucky, the mix of handwritten typography and simple illustrations work so beautifully together!
